Kids surprised by gift of kitten (video)

This is via Ellen DeGeneres, and it’s pretty sweet.

The kids found a kitten a few days before. The parents were going to turn it over to a no-kill center, but at the last minute changed their minds. The video shows the kids being surprised by the reappearance of the kitten.

You need to watch the entire thing.

One year I wound up tying the tree to the sides of the window frame — four month old kitten.

And no bright dangly ornaments on the lower branches. Ever.

I have an eye hook in the ceiling. I can tie the tree to the hook, and not have the tree topple. Some cats like to climb the trees. Some felines like to chew on the branches. Some of the little darlings like to use bulb decorations for volleyball practice. They all seem to like sleeping under the tree. There’s always the chance that the cat may meet the same fate as the cat in National Lampoon’s “Christmas Vacation”.

  3. Oh? Do tell.

Not to mention male dogs. ;-)

Happy tears! He’s a sensitive boy to have those feelings. It looked like the oldest one was starting to as well. They’ve got some great boys and it looks as though they’ve been raising them well.

I hope someone has warned the parents about cats and Christmas trees.

I love the kids’ reactions. And the oldest isn’t letting that kitten go for anything.
